I learned recently via a television commercial that if I would only buy a certain manufacturer’s vehicle, I would become a world renowned photographer and my significant other would become a deep sea diver.

We’ve lived for so long in an artificial world ruled by television commercials that it is easy to focus on what we don’t have and forget just how fortunate we are. We need to sort out what is important and what is nice but not essential.
People are more important than things.
Experiences are more important than things.
Each individual before he does anything except breathe is important, no extra trappings required.
So, sorry Unnamed Car Dealer. Your ad was really impressive. Too bad it didn’t tell about the training, experience , talent and equipment needed to become a world class photographer. Ditto with deep sea diving. Buying the car had absolutely nothing to do with anything.
